The "font" of the 6's used on these particular dials are "open." On the date 6, the lower loop on the 6 doesn't connect with the taller left hand curve of the 6. This, if you look carefully, can also be seen in the 6's where you read "660 feet." I would like to get an older Rolex Date that has the "open" style "6" and "9" in the date window. Does anyone know when Rolex stopped using this style of date number font? Thanks in advance for any help.
