I own two "high end" designer bags, a LV Alma BB in Damier Ebene and a Chanel mini classic .Brands I don’t prefer: Louis Vuitton: my Louis Vuitton Palm Springs mini isn’t holding up as well . The Montaigne is at the top of my wish list right now and I am starting to debate between MM and BB for when I make the jump to purchase it. Like you I am quite petite, 5'1" and not even 100lbs soaking wet. Originally I wanted the MM but the more I have noticed the BB the more it has grown on me. The hardware and design quality seems the same to me overall (except the B strap, which has different hardware for just the strap). The canvas is definitely not the same, the old Keepall is a little more smooth and buttery and the monogram is a slightly different texture.
